Assistant Principal

- A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or higher preferred). Valid Teaching Credential.
- Administrative Credential, strongly required.
- A clear record of elevating student achievement in an urban classroom, with a strong understanding of pedagogy that drives results.
- Demonstrated success using data to drive instruction.
- Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills, communication skills (written and oral) and has excellent organization skills.
- A valid California Administrative Credential
Other experience:
Four years of related teaching experience
Two years of Instructional Coaching, Lesson Planning, Teacher Training
Specialize in Instruction and Curriculum
Two years of Administrative experience

Requirements/Qualifications:
B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state.

RSP Coordinator

The resource specialist shall have a valid CA credential in Special Education, and appropriate RSP authorization, with two or more years of teaching experience, including both regular and special education teaching experience as defined by the rules and regulations of the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing, and who has demonstrated the competencies for a resource specialist as established by the commission.

Campus Supervisors

* Experience working with children, preferably as a coach or Teacher’s Aide
* High school diploma/GED and two years of college (48 units), or A. A. degree (or higher) preferred
* Demonstrates a passion for education reform and the success of young people within an urban educational environment
* Successful experience in teaching diverse student populations
* Ability to work within a flexible schedule

 

Office Manager

Key Responsibilities
• Leads front office staff and holds them accountable to goals and outcomes
• Finance & Purchasing
• Purchases standard needs of the teaching staff, using the school based purchasing process,placing orders, tracking deliveries, and coding and submitting purchases request forms
• Student Services
• Support food service and transportation duty schedules and updates
• Supports day of logistics (e.g. transportation, lodging, meals, staffing plan, etc.) of off-site field trips and all on-site special events (Report Card Nights, Performances, Graduation, staff
• Student Information & Testing
• Maintains accurate student data and information in compliance with federal, state, regional and school expectations regarding Student Recruitment & Enrollment
• Lead student recruitment and registration execution to ensure that the school begins the academic year with full classes and actively recruits to fill open seats
• Compliance
• Ensure that all fire and safety regulations and procedures are implemented, ensuring the well being of all school staff and students.
• Lead and/or support substitute and time-off management

Skills and Qualifications
• 3 to 7 years of work experience, preferably in Charter school education and/or business or operations management Demonstrated management and leadership skills (e.g. at least 2 years managing a team or multiple large projects)
• Strong project and time management skills; ability to effectively backwards plan, juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills with an aptitude for shifting from fire-fighting to systems building Sense of humility, customer service mindset, and shows urgency and the ability to proactively solve problems and make decisions quickly
• Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management and relationship building skills Ability to lead, influence, and hold others accountable to upholding high standards of operational excellence
• High level of comfort with financial oversight and budgetary tracking
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in difficult conversations with parents and staff
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel; Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets

Office Secretary

- Clerical experience working in a charter school setting.

- Strong skills in: CALPADS, AERIES and ADA.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, telephone systems and multi-tasking.

Wilder’s is currently seeking dedicated, team oriented, highly qualified credentialed teachers for grades kindergarten through eighth to join our team.

Responsibilities

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active, engaging learning for all students.
  • Establish and communicate clear learning targets for all learning activities according to Common Core Standards.
  • Instruct and monitor students with the use of appropriate learning materials and equipment.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures with a structured behavior management system.
  • Uphold the school culture, reflective of the “Wilder Way” in daily routines and procedures.
  • Provide appropriate feedback on assignments, projects and assessments.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, state policies and school regulations.
  • Prepare required reports on students and activities.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Prepare classroom for class activities daily.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  • Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development as well as track growth on formal and informal assessments.
  • Administer, assess and provided feedback on summative and formative assessments.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.

Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:

  • Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic and ability backgrounds.
  • Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, promptly return phone calls and answer emails with notification provided to administration.
  • Participate in appropriate professional learning activities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations as directed.
