Hello Wondrous Wilders!

My name is Ms. Fenton, and I am thrilled to be your 2nd grade teacher!

A little about me: I have 12 years of teaching experience. I graduated from CSU Fullerton in 2007 with a Bachelors in Child & Adolescent Development. I then graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2012 with a Masters in Education and a focus on Language and Literacy. My love for teaching is deeply rooted in the belief that every child is unique, capable, and powerful. As a teacher, my role will be to facilitate and empower students to become life-long learners. I am committed to supporting their growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Students in 2nd grade will have the opportunity to wonder, question, and build their critical thinking skills. Students will learn about a “Growth Mindset” and various strategies to help them collaborate, communicate, and be respectful to one another. Students will work hard, think flexibly, and learn from their mistakes. I have high expectations for all of my students, however, I will also provide high support throughout their learning journey.

I am excited to connect with each of you, and spend the rest of the year learning, growing, and making wondrous new memories together!
