4th Grade 1st Novel Study                 Beginning Sept. 8th 

This fall, the 4th Grade class will start reading our first book, Because of Winn Dixie, by Kate DiCamillo. This novel is about a ten-year-old India Opal Buloni, who goes down to the local supermarket for some groceries – and comes home with a dog. The dog is no ordinary dog, and helps Opal to make friends in her new town. It also inspires Opal to ask her father important questions about her mysterious mother. In fact, as Opal admits, just about everything that happens that summer is because of Winn-Dixie.
