Dear Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am so excited to welcome your child and your family to our Kindergarten community for the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher and the Early Learning Academic Coordinator. We are going to have an exciting, creative, fun, and productive year filled with learning, exploration, discovery, and growth!

Kindergarten is an incredibly important year in a child’s educational journey. It is a time when children begin developing the academic, social, emotional, and independence skills that will serve as the foundation for their future success. Throughout the year, students will learn to become confident learners as they develop early reading and writing skills, strengthen their mathematical thinking, explore the world around them, and learn how to communicate and work cooperatively with others.

It is my goal to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where every child feels safe, valued, encouraged, and excited to learn. I will work to recognize and nurture each child’s individual talents and gifts, provide meaningful learning experiences, guide students as they develop independence, and encourage them to always do their best. Most importantly, I want every child to develop a love of learning and the confidence to believe, “I can do it!”

I expect my students to give their best effort, listen and follow directions, treat others with kindness and respect, work cooperatively with their classmates, and take pride in their learning. Kindergarten is a year of tremendous growth, and I look forward to watching each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school year.

I would also like to share a little about myself. I have a strong background in child development and early childhood education and have had the privilege of teaching students in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and special education in both private and charter school settings. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and my Master of Arts degree in Literacy and Language Arts from Loyola Marymount University’s School of Education. I am passionate about literacy and helping children develop strong foundational reading skills. I believe that when children learn to read, they open the door to a lifetime of learning and discovery.

As the Early Learning Academic Coordinator, I am also committed to supporting the academic success of our youngest learners and collaborating with teachers and families to ensure they receive a strong foundation for their educational journey.

Education is a partnership between home, school, and community. When we work together as a team, our children have the greatest opportunity to thrive. I encourage you to communicate with me throughout the school year. Your questions, ideas, and involvement are important, and I look forward to building a strong partnership with you.
