Pursuit of Excellence


The Wilder's Student Pledge


As a student of WPACS, I will do my best to contribute to a safe, orderly, and positive environment where people and property are treated with respect and where learning takes place in classes free of disruptions. The following standards will guide my behavior:
 
  • I will treat every student and staff member with respect, kindness and courtesy with my language and actions.
  • I will help create and maintain a school climate that promotes my success and the success of others.
  • I will seek assistance from an adult when dealing with conflict.
  • I will display school and team spirit by adhering to the WPACS Dress Code Policy and being in full uniform daily.
  • I will attend school regularly and arrive to class on time each day.
  • I will complete all schoolwork and homework daily.
  • When I am absent I will make-up all missed class assignments and homework.
  • I will accept full responsibility for all my actions and will adhere to the WPACS Discipline Policy.
 
Honor Roll
 
Students who achieve academic excellence will qualify for the honor roll and will be mentioned in the monthly newsletter along with their names posted on a special board in the school. The percentages for qualification are as follows:

  • Eagles: 95 - 100%
  • Honor Roll: 90 - 94%
  • High Achievers: 85 - 89%
 
Academic Eligibility
 
Scholars are eligible to participate in extracurricular programs provided they meet the minimum overall 75% during each trimester grading period and exhibit satisfactory conduct.
 
5th Grade Pinning Ceremony and Culmination Exercise
Fifth-grade students who have successfully mastered grade-level standards and exhibited satisfactory behavior are eligible for participation in the Pinning and Culminating Ceremonies.
 
8th Grade Culmination Exercise
Eighth-grade students who have successfully mastered grade-level standards and exhibited satisfactory behavior are eligible for participation in the Culminating Ceremony.
