PSAT 8/9

Help your student succeed in high school and prepare for college with the PSAT 8/9.

WPACS offers the PSAT 8/9 practice test once a year in the Fall.  It is an optional fee-based assessment for middle school through the College Board PSAT Suite of Assessments.  Although the test is geared towards 8th and 9th graders, we offer the assessment for 6th and 7th grade as well.  Score reports are mailed home during December/January and students are able to access their scores through the College Board.

This fall, the PSAT8/9 will be administered at Wilder's Prep on October 12, 2022.

Benefits of the PSAT 8/9

The PSAT 8/9 helps students determine what they need to work on most so that they’re ready for college when they graduate from high school—and it supports educators as they guide the way.

A Head Start

The PSAT 8/9 tests the same skills and knowledge as the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, and PSAT 10—in a way that makes sense for eighth and ninth graders. It measures what they’re already learning, shows them whether they’re on track for college, and lets them know where they need the most improvement. That means students have time to tackle these areas long before they take the SAT.

Personalized Practice

Students over 13 can share their scores with Khan Academy® to create a personalized practice experience. It’s the best way to prepare for other tests in the SAT Suite of Assessments, and it’s free.
