Directory Information Annual Notice

“Directory information” is information that is generally not considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if released. WPACMS may disclose the personally identifiable information that it has designated as directory information without a parent’s prior written consent. WPACMS has designated the following information as directory information: 

Student’s name; address; telephone number; email address; date and place of birth; participation in officially recognized activities and sports; weight and height of members of athletic teams; dates of attendance; grade level; photograph; degrees and awards received; most recent public or private school attended by the student; parent’s address; parent’s email address; and student ID number, user ID, or other unique personal identifier used to communicate in electronic systems that cannot be used to access education records without a PIN, password, etc. (A student’s social security number, in whole or in part, cannot be used for this purpose.)

No information may be released to private profit-making entities other than employers; prospective employers; and representatives of the media, including, but not limited to, newspapers, magazines, and radio and television stations. Directory information regarding a pupil identified as a homeless child or youth shall not be released unless a parent or pupil given parental rights has provided written consent that directory information may be released


Directory information may be disclosed without prior consent from the parent or legal guardian unless the parent or legal guardian submits a written notice to the school to deny access to their pupil’s directory information. If you do not want the Charter School to disclose directory information from your child’s education records without your prior written consent, you must notify the Charter School in writing at the time of enrollment or re-enrollment.
