Middle School Uniform Policy

Wilder's Scholars represent their school, their family, their community, and themselves by dressing for success. Just like the top championship sports team in the the city, when we step onto the field or court, or into the classroom, one way we show that we are ready to perform is by being in uniform. 


Tops

  • Girls: White button-down Oxford shirt and burgundy tie 
  • Boys: White button-down Oxford shirt and striped tie (Gray and Burgundy)
  • Burgundy sweater or vest (with optional WPACMS logo, student name is optional)


Bottoms

  • Khaki twill shorts (August, September, October, May, June ONLY)
  • Khaki twill pants with optional black belt
  • Girls: Washington plaid skirt* (No higher than 3 inches above the knee)

      *May wear white, burgundy, or black tights under (Winter months only,

       November – March)


Shoes

  • Shoes must be ALL BLACK with black soles and black shoestrings (Shoes with different color logos, designs, or colored tongues are not permitted)
  • White, Black, or Burgundy socks (footsies, ankle socks, socks with logos are not permitted)

 

Friday Wear
Friday wear is worn only on Fridays and usually for field trips unless otherwise indicated.

  • White short sleeve polo shirt (with optional WPACMS logo) 
  • Golden yellow t-shirt (with optional WPACMS logo)
  • Burgundy warm up pants and jackets 
  • Khaki walking shorts (August, September, October, May, June ONLY)

 

Clothing that meets the above criteria may be purchased at any uniform store. WPACMS works with Michael’s Uniforms, (310) 672-2170, 225 South Market Street, Inglewood, CA 90301 as well.

Free Dress

During holidays and special occasions, WPACMS allows students to wear free dress or accessorize their uniforms with themed dress. If your child is not in compliance with the free dress policy you will be contacted.  If the free dress policy is broken more than once, your child will no longer be allowed to participate in any free dress days for the remainder of the school year. 


Free Dress Reminders

  • NO mini-skirts or shorts 
  • NO open toe shoes or boots of any kind (e.g., cowboy boots)
  • NO spaghetti/strapless tops or dresses 
  • NO spandex or see through clothing of any kind 
  • NO clothing with any kind of negative connotation 
  • NO exposed midriff
