Counseling and Support Services

The Wilder’s Wellness program provides targeted interventions designed to build a firm foundation of resilience, motivation, and confidence for kindergarten through eighth-grade students.

Wilder’s Preparatory Academy Charter School Elementary and Middle School students receive support with coping skills and strategies to manage their emotions and stress triggers, as a preventative approach to helping students navigate the challenges that life brings in helpful, healthy, and positive ways.

To help support the alternative discipline practices, weekly workshops have been provided to our students to address various disciplinary concerns such as anti-bullying, social media & cellphones, self-esteem, positive peer relationships and communication, coping skills, and the WILDER’S WAY, as a school-wide community code of conduct.

Other support areas have been provided through small group or one-on-one mediation, restorative circles, parent support, psycho-social education (teachers, parents, and students), one-on-one support in the classroom, and positive behavior support. Individual support is also provided for students with families impacted by COVID.
